Dr. Sandy Tran graduated with honors from Western University College of Optometry. During her education, she completed externships at The Villages VA Hospital in Ocala, FL and Braverman Eye Center in Hallandale, FL where she became proficient in treating ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. She is involved with volunteer work and has participated with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and Lions Club in mission trips to Peru and Panama to provide eye care to underserved communities.
Upon graduation, she completed a residency in vision therapy and rehabilitation, treating patients with learning-related vision disorders, strabismus and amblyopia and traumatic brain injury/concussion. She has a fellowship with the College of Optometrist in Vision Development and she is board certified in the areas of visual development, vision therapy, and vision rehabilitation.
In her free time, she enjoys travel, yoga, hiking, and playing her favorite card game, No Limit Texas Hold ‘em.
